An off-duty Atlanta police officer was stopped in traffic in his 2019 Dodge Charger when an armed man got out of a nearby vehicle and demanded the officer's car.
An off-duty Atlanta police officer was carjacked at gunpoint while stopped in traffic over the weekend.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the city's Little Five Points neighborhood, WXIA-TV reports. The officer was in his 2019 Dodge Charger, which was stopped in traffic, when an armed man got out of a nearby car.
The man demanded the car, and the off-duty officer got out of his vehicle. The officer then went to a business to call 9-1-1.
The officer was not injured in the incident. The car was later found abandoned.
